Hi Guest! 42409 – Marsupialization of sublingual salivary cyst (ranula) While dental coding is not our forte like medical coding is, it doesn”t appear there is a specific dental code that exactly describes this procedure. The closest I was able to find are: D7509 – marsupialization of odontogenic cyst D7410 – excision of benign lesion up to 1.25 cm D7411 – excision of benign lesion greater than 1.25 cm D7412 – excision of benign lesion, complicated D7510 – incision and drainage of abscess – intraoral soft tissue D7511 – incision and drainage of abscess – intraoral soft tissue – complicated (includes drainage of multiple fascial spaces) If you don”t feel any of these are appropriate, you may consider: D7999 – unspecified oral surgery procedure, by report Hope this helps!
