My growing 13 year old son has significant skeletal maloclussions which will require jaw surgery when he stops growing. This has been confirmed by our dentist, 2 orthodontists and the oral surgeon. He is also a good candidate for Bollard Plates, which may reduce or eliminate need for this surgery. However, medical insurance does not cover any of the codes we were given. They are: D8100 (x4 – the plates), D9222 & 9223 (anesthesia) and D9610 (Drug IV) Do you have anything – other codes or processes – that we can try to get insurance to help cover this? The jaw surgery later on would be much more invasive. Thank you!
