I”m through my dental treatment, and next Monday, I”m having . Recently my metal crown root canal tooth chipped underneath last week, and, while chewing, the whole crown and post came out. I”ve submitted for medical insurance for the first implant, which was a year ago. Can I insure for the next time also? If I can, which one should I go for, K08.9 or K08.89.
Hi Lauren H! Great question. Typically medical insurance does bundle those into the codes you mentioned – 21248 & 21249. Hope this helps!
Good morning! I have a patient that had an implant placed using code D6115 but we are billing to Medicare and need to change it to a medical code. I saw on a couple of other posts the use of 21248 and 21249 but those are reconstructions for D6010. What should be used for the actual implant? Thanks for your help!!
