Hey! I usually bill medical for sleep but our dental team had a patient who had 21 extractions completed and has medicare. the patient”s cardiologist sent over a letter stating extractions were medically necessary. Cardiologists words were “poor dentition represents a health hazard and therefore treatment of his condition is medically necessary” I am trying to find the right ICD – 10 code. Please help Thanks
