I’m in the middle of buying a used Mini Cooper and the seller is pushing me to close the deal this week, which always makes me a little uneasy. I’ve heard these cars can have timing chain and gearbox issues that don’t show up on a short test drive, and I don’t have a mechanic I trust here yet. A friend mentioned there are mobile services that do a proper check, and I saw a page that said “Find out more about Mini Cooper inspection service” so I clicked it out of curiosity, but I don’t know anyone who has actually used them. Has anyone here booked a pre-purchase inspection for a Mini? I’m in Al Barsha and the car is in Deira, so I’d need someone who travels across Dubai. Did they catch something serious or was it mostly just peace of mind? Any real experiences would help because I don’t want to rush into a mistake.
